Meet the Captain

I am a native North Carolinian, and have been fishing the internal and coastal waters of North Carolina for over 40 years. I value our natural resources and believe we should all take the appropriate actions necessary to preserve a future of hunting and fishing for the next generation.

My home port includes Wrightsville Beach/Cape Fear and Topsail Island, but my range of knowledge extends from New Bern, NC to Sunset Beach, NC.

Whether you're a novice or seasoned angler, I welcome the opportunity to guide you on your next fishing adventure!

Captain Jason Dail is the proud owner and operator of Silver Spoon Charters. He is a well-known highly respected guide with over 40 years of saltwater fishing experience. Capt. Jason was born in North Carolina and grew up fishing the fresh and salt waters from the Pamlico Sound to Little River, South Carolina.
Capt. Jason is an avid outdoorsman and a conservationist who believes with appropriate management and resource protection the viable fishing industry could be preserved for many generations to come. Capt. Jason holds a valid Captains License from the U.S. Coast Guard and has been certified in First Aid and CPR for over 25 years now.

Stillwater Rods

Creativity and artistic expression have always been a part of my life, but it wasn't until 2014, that I put my ideas to work and built my first custom fishing rod. As one rod led to another, and then another, the birth of Stillwater Rods came into existence. What began as a hobby, has evolved into a business where I can share my passion for art and creativity. By building fully functional custom rods of all design types, I am able to provide high end tools for my customers to enjoy.

Bumpin’ Mullet

Capt. Jason Dail and his fishing partner, Allen Jernigan, enjoy competing in many fishing tournaments all over the coast. The fishing team known as "Bumpin‘ Mullet" has won several titles in many different states.
